Fall season is here. It is a season of harvest. I am so proud of you learned so much in the past. Now let’s harvest and plant some for future.
Focus:
1. Computer Engineer Chinese: Pin Yin IME (Input Method Editor); Language Pack for OS, Language Pack for other applications;
2. Reading – we will finish 1 to 2 Chinese 3rd grade articles together in this 8 sessions
3. Radicals: combine with the reading above we will learn the common used radicals and characters
4. Exercises – we will find some exercises associate with current class for you to exercise and memorize what we learned in the class
5. Share the learning experience – we have Mike Friedman; Mike Hedley; Matthew Bucher and other students volunteer to share their learning experience, give us a talk on the topic they are mastered at in each session
Structure
20-30 min read the articles together and learn the characters, grammar and radicals.
20-30 min exercises, practice with classmates or native speakers who I invited to our classroom, share experiences.

in Oct.05, i started this learn China weekly class in MS campus.
Schedule:
We meet every Friday 5-645pm. Every semester we have 8 sessions. After that we will have 1-2 free sessions to collect feedback and build next Semester’s curriculum.
Our Curriculum:
We build our own curriculum together. Yes, the curriculum is build in the beginning of the class based on students input.
Our Class:
We have from beginning level (no nothing about Chinese) to advance level (fluent in Chinese) all together in one class. Is it possible? Yes, it is not only possible but also FUN! Advance students share their learning experiences, they also act as teaching assistant. We will always make the learning content mixed with something entry level and something advance level, so everyone can learn something from the class.
What do we learn:
we learn Chinese,
Chinese living culture, food culture, business culture.
Chinese literature: Cheng Yu, Poem (Tang Poem), Song Poem, Chinese Opera, modern Chinese
Chinese history, Chinese geography, etc.
We learn PinYin, reading, conversation, writing use business software,
The key is we have FUN together!
Learning Materials:
We use MS software: MS Ping Yin IME, Word, Live online dictionary, etc. software to reach fast learning experience and meet direct business needs.
We use China primary school 1-5 grade Chinese book as standard teach references
We use Chinese dictionary
We use online learning materials recommended from our students.
If you have any recommendations, we will add in our class.
Tuition
Our tuition is $5.00/class. We giving back our tuition to MS giving Education fund.
Why $5.00? It is one kid in China rural area one year school supply. Many poor kids have to drop school because their family cannot afford $5.00/year. We give while we learn here.
Who are we:
Since 2005, we have over 50 students inside and outside of MS from over 15 different countries. Youngest is 6 years old.
They are from U.S. Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippine, Portugal, Holland, Italy, Austria, France, German, China HK, Indonesia, Nigeria, India, Japan,
I am proud of everyone of my students. We will have this continue for as long as we have students want to learn China
